Pay Attention Friends, Fashion Nova Sets Thirst Traps But it's all a Part of a Multi-Channel Marketing Plan *Inserts Evil Laugh*

New Term Alert: If you haven't been taking an "Integrated Marketing" approach to the way you promote, sell or, share your product/service —you'll want to take feverish notes here. In a multi-channel world, it’s easy to get lost in the clutter and even harder to sashay onto centre stage (the confidence and 6-inch heels required, BAABY).

Fashion Nova Thirst Trap Setup.png

I've been brushing up on my marketing skills lately (for the nosy ones in the back —I am in school right now because learning never stops and people respect degrees or whatever). That means, lots and lots of research on who is doing a bang-up job at promoting their products like a Mary Kay consultant.

New Term Alert: If you haven't been taking an "Integrated Marketing" approach to the way you promote, sell or, share your product/service —you'll want to take feverish notes here. As it's not only the best way, it’s the only way to reach your target audience any day of the week.

In a multi-channel world, it’s easy to get lost in the clutter and even harder to sashay onto centre stage (the confidence and 6-inch heels required, BAABY).

Competitors aren't your only battle royale opponent. *inserts hysterical laugh that leads into a cough*

So are dinner plans, mobile notifications, multiple open tabs in Chrome and sleep (I stole the last one from Netflix's competitor's list.) Dumping all of your company’s resources into one advertising channel will bankrupt the success rate of any online or offline campaign you undertake.

Instead, by creating a customer-centric content experience across all channels —it allows the company to attract and retain customers in a "loyalty loop" (another new term alert...don't you feel like you're right there in school with me??).

Rarely do we shop at retail stores as frequently as we did in the past and for that reason, companies need to get a bit more creative on how they win business over and over.

Fashion Nova, for example, is an online fashion brand retailer that sells women and men clothing. They use a mix of marketing channels from PPC advertising, social media, influencer marketing, email and affiliate marketing, to name a few.

*Insert defined examples of Fashion Nova's Integrated Marketing plan I speak of*

SOCIAL MEDIA HIJINKS FOR THE HIGHROLLERS: Influencer & Affiliate Marketing

Instagram is the main driver of sales traffic (with 16 million followers) to execute their social media campaigns.

Fashion Nova Appealing to Their Audience by Reposting Celebrity Influencers in Their Clothing.

Fashion Nova Appealing to Their Audience by Reposting Celebrity Influencers in Their Clothing.

Fashion Nova (FN) uses celebrity influencers as a marketing campaign, whereby famed VIPS promote the FN brand by posting pictures of themselves in the e-commerce retailer clothing and tagging them on Instagram (which they get a monetary kickback for the intense labour of clicking post —of course).

Think about it, if your favorite celebrity's outfit of the day is your next "hot girl summer 2019" outfit, you're going to buy it —where ever they got it from. And in this case, it happens to be from Fashion Nova (the thirst trap setup). I believe this is the reason their Instagram presence skyrocketed in the first five months in 2018.

“Fashion Nova built its massive fanbase partly by satisfying its customers’ desire for attention—sharing their selfies and shouting them out on Instagram.” —Quartzy

They remain culturally relevant, speak the language of their consumer and post shareable content. From the type of celebrity influencers they snag to the social media platforms they dominate, customers are at the mercy of their creative marketing techniques.

THE DIGITAL MARKETING CONGA LINE WITH A CALL-TO-ACTION ATTACHED: Pay Per Click Advertising + Pop-ups (the well-behaved kind) + Email Marketing

Now, say that “hot girl” outfit lured you to their website even once, a Fashion Nova advertorial will follow you around the internet (a modern-day bug-a-boo).

It'll make you want to start a spam support group.

It'll make you want to report and block.

It'll make you want to break your lease so you can move.

The actual term is called remarketing but doesn't bug-a-boo sound more accurate? It triggers when you've visited their online store while window-shopping without a purchase in-hand. If you really want what they're selling it's tantalizing to return back to the website.

Fashion Nova’s Pop-Up on their Website

Fashion Nova’s Pop-Up on their Website

So how can your business seduce the looky-loos who missed the "Contact Me" form on your website? Easy peasy lemon squeezy. By taking a page out of Fashion Nova's book and showing them a "Hold up" message when they go to click off your site to trot off somewhere else.

Enter a cleverly timed pop-up discount code or opt-in freebie to sweet-talk them into your email marketing funnel.

But back to remarketing (I really like this term bug-a-boo marketing instead —I'm going to make this stick so help you GAWD) comes in real handy for e-commerce businesses because it appears to look native (like it belongs) on other websites that have similar products. See the last article you read with the words "sponsored" faintly hovering over the ads.

Fashion Nova’s Ad Following Me Where ever I go and Why It Was Triggered By Google

Fashion Nova’s Ad Following Me Where ever I go and Why It Was Triggered By Google

"BRING IT HOME AND MAKE IT MAKE SENSE, TENNILE"

What all this means is there are many opportunities for you to stay on top of a customer's radar —no matter where on the world wide web they've trotted off to.

However, integrated marketing is more than a creepy ad that follows you in the shower. It becomes a results-driven transformer when you intertwine it with a range of promotional techniques on other platforms (i.e. Email, Social Media, PR, Mobile Marketing, Event Marketing etc.) with consistent messaging.

Consumers want information ranging from product reviews to the how-to videos on YouTube. They’re looking for and researching brands they want to engage with; what you want to do is be there when the need to buy arrives. Google describes these as Micro-Moments:

That's why we need to take copious notes of how brands we like, follow and buy from manage to hogtie our attention (certainly with a lavender smelling satin scarf, even if BDSM isn't for you).

#QTNA

  • How did they catcall your attention?

  • Where did it happen? Email, social media or direct mail?

  • What made you buy?

As long as a brand has your attention, it has your interest.

Then it's only a hop skip and a jump until you've bought into the thirst trap that is marketing.

Need help with your marketing and messaging, so it doesn't bug or get boos?

The 5 P’s to Shape Your Online Presence Like a Cardi B 😝

VIDEO POST: Like the Karate Kid, we're going to study Cardi B’s ways to a powerful and unmistakable online presence even if you launched your business yesterday. And especially if you’re thinking of levelling up.

YouTube Video at End of Post.

YouTube Video at End of Post.

True story.

I am learning a lot from Cardi B.

She came on the music scene like a tsunami. And since then has been dominating the charts and making money moves.

Like the Karate Kid, we're going to study her ways to a powerful and unmistakable online presence even if you launched your business yesterday. And especially if you’re thinking of levelling up.

Numero Uno: Produce Your Season(s) of Promotional Content

Guilty, I am a reality TV junkie.

effective online presence

Who isn't?! I initially heard the buzz of Cardi B from her humble beginnings on Love & HipHop but mostly known for her outspokenness.

That reality TV show was her production of content she put out into the world to control how people perceived her brand. It was an opportunity for people to get to know who Cardi B was as a person, her beliefs, her vibe and opinions. An inside peek into her lifestyle.

People buy into the lifestyle a “product” can grant them. - Click to Tweet

Consider this the blueprint and mimic these ways of publishing your own promotional content. You too want to provide your audience with a backstage pass to who you are and humanize your brand. It's no secret that we don't connect to logos —we relate to living breathing human beings.

Sidenote: Revisit my video on "How to keep your content marketing machine running on a full tank of gas + The PTR Method." That video will have you rethink they way you produce future content.

Numero Dos: Polish Up Your Image

Cardi B twerked her way from stripper to reality star to an iconic artist. Fight the air.

Now for your own iconic rise. Here are a few ways you can plot your come-up:

  • An effortless springboard to online relevance is to update your photos across social media. Consider Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook as your primary places but truly, wherever you do business online. Upload a current picture of yourself to combine your online efforts with your offline ones like when networking —you want to ensure that your digital presence reflects your in-person image.

effective online presence

Now for some technical tidbits of polishing up your image, that work behind the scene on your behalf via your website.

Site Description (SEO on your website)

As in polish up your SEO, that means, use the keywords you're best known for. Once you've determined those keywords, sprinkle them throughout your content on your website. Google uses the information contained on your site to help produce better search results which all trickles back to you.

Your site description is reflective of what you do in your business by using those keywords in your industry. For myself, I've used the terms copywriter, content marketing and social media. Those are some of the things that I focus on; therefore you'll find those keywords used to describe my website.

Alt Text (i.e. image descriptions)

Another way is to clean up the alt description text. Type out what is happening in the picture and where hyperlinks direct to (don't just write "click here"). Catering to the new Web Accessibility inclusive practices, ensure there are no barriers that prevent interaction with, or access to, websites on the internet for people with disabilities. In a nutshell, make it easier for all people to find your content.

Metadata (blog tags, update titles, descriptions, URLs)

Finally, you also want to edit your blog titles, headers, headlines, and URL (slug) to include the keywords you want to be found and known for.

Numero Tres: Proclaim your Expertise/Experience (aka be Known For Something)

effective online presence

We all know Cardi B for being a Rapper and most recently a political commentator. She'll go on rants of some of the things that are happening in the political world which allows us to see the person behind the artist. And that's pretty much how you want to present yourself when you're doing your promotional content as well. Show the person behind the professional. When you're proclaiming your expertise and your experience, make it a habit to wrap your personality and passion into it. Because again, we don't connect with bots or logos but with people. So we're certainly not going to relate with someone who's a dry biscuit.

Proclaim your expertise and the way you can do that is via helpful tips, funny memes, or timely quotes. You can be known for blowing the whistle on the things that are happening in the industry that you don't like. Go on epic rants, create researched-based infographics and video skits are all ways to put yourself out there.

Sometimes you need to give yourself the credit before others do. Proclaim it!

Numero Cuatro: Press (Gain features in the media)

Cardi B is not only famous but infamous at trending online from all the press she acquires. Being one of the top-known rappers on the charts right now helps too. From magazine covers to Carpool Karaoke with James Corden (which you should watch by-the-way). We see her everywhere, and that's kind of how you have to go about it in your own business. "Get seen" EVERYWHERE. Do a guest post with an online publication, show up on podcasts, attend networking events, become a speaker. You want to show up in places that your clients and potential clients may hang out.

If you combine your offline efforts with a solid social media strategy, this will strengthen your overall brand because they're in cahoots with one another.

Numero Cinco: Perspective

effective online presence

And finally, the last P is crucial to your success quite frankly.

You need a perspective of a persistent dogmatic approach to putting yourself out there. Don't cheat yourself. Content marketing can be tiresome, and a lot of people struggle with being consistent. Myself, included. Cause, guess what? Humans are not built to run like machines —this is why we automate our processes and recycle content to avoid burnout. That way we can keep putting ourselves out there without actually "putting ourselves out there." Get it?

So be patient with yourself and all your efforts. Eventually, it will compound over time, and then you'll begin to start seeing results.

What P are you currently working on?

These Two Things Have Been My Bonafide Sources of Online Income

There are a few things that need to stay in 2017 and not carry over into next year.

Presence.png

There are a few things that need to stay in 2017 and not carry over into next year.

ONE: Public washroom selfies.

Doesn't it ever cross one's mind their mini photoshoot is happening in a bacteria infested land mine????

TWO: Mumble rap.

I don't understand it.

I want to do more than bop my head to the beat then regret every body roll and bounce when I finally interpret a word.

AND THREEEEE: Treating social media as a PR campaign gone terribly wrong.

When I decided to be the boss instead of having one, I did two things. And those two things solidified me as a person who knows stuff and can charge others of this knowing.

  • It made it possible to get my first 3 customers in under an hour

  • It made it possible to work with clients on different continents not just in North America

  • It made it possible to be interviewed on the radio and invited to speak at events (locally and globally)

This wouldn't have been possible without these two things.

When anyone curiously asks how I get clients, I either say, referrals or online.

Online selling cannot be possible without growing your presence and exposing your value on the internet. If you know stuff and feel you can charge others for this intel. You should be doing these two things too because being able to make money any time you want is a powerful thing. If you lose a job, a project, or want to drop a bad apple client --YOU WILL SURVIVE.

You begin to walk the talk.

You are confident in your approach.

You possess this certainty when you know your worth and then add tax to it.

1) Supercharge your presence in a month, even if you have less than 100 followers & hate being on Facebook.

2) Fast track your leads in a week, even if your LinkedIn profile has been dormant for months.

It's as simple as it reads.

These two things have been my bonafide sources of online income.

Now, that I have tinkered and approved these methods I want to share what has been working for me and my clients. Revamp the way you promote your business online and your presence will expand in the new year via the number of opportunities and fresh leads.

In 2018, we need to do better and by better I mean --less mumbling to the beat and more finding your rhythm.

The choice is always yours and I'm here to help.

Content Calendars Don't Make You Consistent, They Make You Look Predictable

Show of hands. Who wants to create one? Or can stick with it?

[ short answer ]

Do you need a content calendar to be consistent?

Not necessarily. A rigid content calendar can make a small business sound robotic and miss what's happening right now. Build a content system instead: when something happens (news, a client win, a trending moment), you write about it, publish it in one place, then share it in another. You can't plan life, but you can prepare for it.

Content Calendar

Word on the internet, Content Calendars are necessary to be consistent online. As well as:

  • Content Calendars help you stay focus...
  • Content Calendars help drive your business' objectives...
  • Content Calendars save you from writer's block

What Content Calendars don't do is excite you.

And if it doesn't excite you, it most likely won't excite your audience. Show of hands. Who wants to create one? Or can stick with it?

Anybody?

Nobody?

Now what?? How do you NOT look like a fly-by-night business with shady marketing?

So many questions!

You ditch the Content Calendar

Listen, I know it sounds crazy radical to throw out a tool that helps so many online publications pump out daily editorials --flawlessly.

Here's the even crazier part...you're a small business, they're a conglomerate. It pays dividends to stay nimble & relevant today.

  • When a topic hits the news are you going to join the conversation or interrupt it with your random scheduled content?
  • When a client raves about your service are you going to share the praise while simultaneously highlighting their awesomeness or continue on your regular scheduled program?
  • When your timeline is buzzing about Cinco de Mayo are you going to tweet about tacos or lasagne for lunch? The answer is hard or soft.

You see, your scheduled content from the calendar interrupts LIFE. It makes you look robotic and then you come off as the calculated conversation hijacker.

Here's What You Do Instead.

Create a Content System, there was no clever name but to call it what it is. Don't make calendars, create systems.

When THIS happens, you write about THIS.
and after you write about THIS, you publish it HERE.
And after you publish it HERE, you share it THERE.
And so on and so forth.

It seems reactive but what you're doing is making it easier for you to share relevant content as it unfolds. Triggering you to write authentic & timely pieces. THIS is what you can get excited about. THIS is in the NOW --rather than in the distant foreign future.

It's also not connected or tied to anything including your one-sided business objectives.

Which by-the-way is not client-focused. Your business will suffocate if it's all about you and what you want to succeed. Don't be the needy one in the relationship.

The goal is to engage your audience not hijack conversations with your well-calculated Content Calendar. Let this be your primary business objective.

You can't plan life but you can prepare for it. 💡

Organic Reach is Not Dead💀 --Stale Content is The Rotting You Smell

There are numbers that suggest paying for advertising "reach" is the only option but that doesn't mean those who are paying to play share interesting or engaging content.

[ short answer ]

Is organic reach on social media dead?

No. Low reach usually comes from stale content, not the algorithm. Algorithms reward accounts that give their audience what it wants, and a big follower count means nothing without engagement. Five ways to make better content: expert round-up posts, FAQ tutorials, resource lists that shout out useful tools, being the go-to source for industry news, and customer success stories.

organic reach dead

It's wildly possible, you feel algorithms have something to do with the low exposure you have on Social Media.

Skyrocketing numbers of paying players online

Skyrocketing numbers of paying players online

There are numbers that suggest paying for advertising "reach" is the only option but that doesn't mean those who are paying to play share interesting or engaging content.

IT'S ALSO reckless to believe you can't do anything about it.

"66% of marketers say growing their organic presence is their top inbound marketing priority." (HubSpot, 2016)

Although, we'd all like to blame it on the algorithms. Unfortunately, there is a bigger culprit at play but I think I addressed that in the title of this article. I respect you way too much to mince words.

You already know the importance of SEO, website traffic, and content marketing...Yes? Well, no "online Influencer" worth their Tummy Tea, talks about engagement as much as they talk about growing the number of followers on Social Media. Like the number of followers is going to magically slide more business your way. Or make you an industry expert on all the things.

💡 Related: The Future Of SEO + Google + Viral Content (yup and an infographic)

You've seen it!

Social Media accounts with 42.1.K followers but no comments 🚫 or just under 500 likes.

What gives?

They have FORTY-TWO THOUSAND followers!

The brutal truth is their content is rotten and they probably paid for all forty-two thousand followers too. You've probably been brainwashed to believe statistics on "best time of the day to post" but even that's a lie because it's general and not at all specific to your brand. Things are shifting on the interwebs. The only way to spike engagement on your timeline is to produce and distribute EPIC CONTENT.

It starts with knowing what your audience want. The algorithm rewards Social Media accounts who do.

<<Click to Tweet Your New Wisdom>>

Thank heavens, I'm not only here to talk about how to get a flat stomach but dish out real strategies to up the ante on your content...and stop the stench from spreading.

If your content stinks, how do you expect people to believe you can help them? Not rhetorical.

Here are 5 Paths to Epic Content (that also make you look like the hero):

#1. Round-Up Post

These type of post may take extra sweat to put together but the immense value your audience obtains from your effort is priceless.

Round-up posts require you to seek out experts in a specific industry or skill and grab a quote from them to help solve your audience's pressing pain. Click to see what it looks like. It makes you look knowledgeable, even though you weren't quoted --you have access to a database of knowledgable people.

#2. FAQ Tut ⁉

Bloggers & Pinterest aficionados do this extremely well. I can even throw YouTube Vloggers into the mix. *Tutorials, tut for short...anyone who's anyone knows that, tuh. These tutorial masters answer the questions often asked in their line of business and respond through step-by-step content. Images, video, GIFs, movie clips, whatever it takes! --They're thorough.

The genius thing about all of this, when asked a question in the future (about your business) from a potential client you can direct them to YOUR content and not have someone else steal your thunder. If you can answer the frequently asked questions BEFORE you're asked, you become the go-to expert of online influencers. Watch Tara Hunt from Truly Social talk about "Feeding The Content Beast" and steal my YouTube Channel thunder. I'm okay with that, truly.

"The most important content for marketers is (only one choice allowed): Original Written Content (45%); Original Visual Assets (34%); Original Videos (19%); Original Audio Content (2%)." (Social Media Examiner, 2016)

#3. Resource Linking 🔗

Sorta like the Round-Up Post. This requires you to dig into your business toolbox of what worked for you or someone else doing the thing your audience needs help doing as well. See what it looks like here. *A new window will open. I too think, it's annoying when it doesn't.

What business doesn't like a shoutout?

Think of tools and articles you've bookmarked that has helped you solve a struggle in the past. It might help someone else out. Bonus level is when the business shares your post to their followers on Social Media. I've had app giants like Buffer share my posts on several occasions, including companies and online influencers with an audience base of 1000's. This has led to broader visibility and new subscribers wanting to know what else I know. You will garner the same.

#4. Newsworthy Source 📣

What's brilliant about this path is you become the source of *insert industry here* news/gossip. The downside is staying on top of all the new news in your industry.

  • You can dish on the latest apps
  • You can be the first to know things before they come to market
  • You can share insights from top media stories

#5. Passionate People 🔥

This is the fool-proof path of epic content.

People love to be highlighted but even better than that is we love a good story. Case Studies of how a product/service worked for someone else is the holy grail of content. Here are 8 tips on how to write a great one by Kissmetrics.

Have a potential client not fully sold on your idea? Tell a story of how your product worked for someone in similar shoes.

Top three content marketing tactics: Blogging (65%); Social Media (64%); Case Studies (64%). (LinkedIn Technology Marketing Community, 2016)

Why Not Being Online is Hurting Your Business + an Infographic

It's 2017, more than a map of directions should pop up in your search results. Here's why not being online hurts your business:

Google my business

"My business is doing just fine."

- Said every offline business owner.

business online

It's okay to admit you'd like for your business to do more than fine. How about booming?

In less than 2 years, traditional marketing (print material, foot traffic) will not be enough to get people through the door. Everything is "Googleable".  We're going to go ahead and use that as a word.

It's 2017, more than a map of directions should pop up in your search results.

Here's why not being online hurts your business:

Customers Search You on Their Mobile Device

Here's that Google thing again.

72% of consumers who did a local search visited a store within five miles. (WordStream, 2016) Your website should be one of those things that pop-up. And it needs to be more than a place you just throw up information.

  • Is your website SEO-friendly?
  • Mobile responsive?
  • Can customers readily contact you?

You'd be surprised, many business owners don't have a clue about what I just asked above.

If a web designer created a website for you, go back and ask them these questions. To be "Googleable" SEO-friendly (Search Engine Optimization), helps you get found. Certain keywords on your website put you in the rankings with your competitors.

Related: The Future Of SEO + Google + Viral Content

These days everyone accesses the internet on their phone.

Exactly, one-third of people use their smartphone as their primary device to access the internet. (HubSpot, 2016) If a customer lands on your website and is having a hard time looking around. Your website is not mobile responsive. It should automatically fit the shape of your phone --whichever way it's being held.

(Try it now: if you're reading this on your mobile device --switch from portrait to landscape viewing by flipping the phone on its side. Do the words still fit the screen? FYI:This site is mobile responsive.)

Do you make it accessible for a customer to contact you through your website?

Suuure. A contact page is a good idea but a live chat stationed on every page on your site is a better one. (Try Zopim)

If you don't have a website, there is no excuse these days. WordPress, Squarespace, and even Weebly make it drag-and-drop simple.

Customers Read Up On You

Do you have a blog? A free opt-in? Maybe a newsletter?

Like I said earlier, throwing up some information on your website about you or your company's mission is cute. But your customers need more --before they whip out their visa. 1 in 10 blog posts are compounding, meaning organic search increases their traffic over time. (HubSpot, 2016) Which means, consistently answering your customer's questions, educating, and adding value to their lives through content --puts you at the front of the line.

  • Think, free checklist to help get their poses together and decrease overwhelm over a photoshoot as a photographer.
  • Think, video tutorial of a Paleo recipe to help them lose weight in 30 days as a health coach.
  • Think, ebook to help them know if their website is customer-friendly as a web designer.

Think about adding your insight to what you do in your industry.

Anybody can write an article about the "10 things you need to stop XYZ". Very few can share what it's like to work with them, their expertise and passion about their business in the same article. The bonus perk is Google will index your blog with the relevant keywords in their search engine. You know, the SEO thing of getting found in search engines.

If you're going to do anything at all for your customers, show you care and show your passion. Don't ever leave it out. That is your competitive edge. Here's how I can help you with this.

Customers Want to Interact With You

Consider social media as one of your PR methods.

YOU CAN CONTROL what is said about you and how people can interact with you online. You'll have to do some investigation on what channel works best for your business. But I can tell you the most popular networks to consider: Facebook and LinkedIn. You may have thought I would have said Instagram or Twitter instead of LinkedIn, huh?

Linkedin is on the rise to become one of the best places to source new business
(Click to tweet)

In the past two years, content consumption on LinkedIn has increased 21%. (HubSpot, 2016) It is my prediction that number will rise. Get your LinkedIn profile prepared with this PDF guide.

While 72% of adult internet users use Facebook. (Pew Research Center, 2015) It is pretty clear Facebook is not going anywhere for a very long time. It has been dominating the internet space since 2004.

Your Facebook Fan Page should become a customer support hub for your fans to interact with your business. Facebook is phenomenal at capturing a target market for you to talk directly to. You can run Facebook ads to show to those who've visited your website in the last 60 days. Or directly to your mailing list. Or your LinkedIn contacts. Or only to your fans on the page. POSSIBILITIES.

These are all warm leads and it can be less expensive (when done right) than traditional marketing (direct mail & flyers). For now, at least. It is my prediction these bigger corporations will soon bully this avenue of promotion.

At the minimum, your business should be doing the above.

Being found through a search engine, content readily available and customers interacting with you online. You can start at any budget & company size, it's just a matter of how deep you want to go down this bunny hole.

Brushing up on a 2nd language I've never used before this.

1. Twitter

This has become my new playground.

For a couple of reasons. [1] Lead Cards:(Jen Lehner has a great graphic on this). It's a way to capture your followers email...for FREE, in one click. Use it, just as you would a regular tweet. [2] Twitter Chats: participating once a week for an hour, can really boost connections quickly and most importantly authentically.

2. Instagram

best online platforms to sell online

I haven't quite mastered Instagram and I don't really know if it's the best platform for a service-based business. But as a product-based business, you should invest some of your sweet precious time here. Research & use hashtags in your industry, post at least once a day and get featured on an account with higher followers than yours. This will get you in front of your audience quick.

If you're not the best at writing lengthy blog posts, treat Instagram as a blogging platform to share your story on the go. Here's a picture guide of a super easy way to write your Insta bio + captivating captions.

And here's a great resource that slay's the game of growing your Instagram followers.

3. LinkedIn

This is the best space for B2B marketing (Business to Business). Decision makers mostly hang out here and if you've gained 500+ in connections, I certainly hope you have claimed your authorship rights. With every newly published post, your connections get notified and you stay on their radar. If you're still growing your LinkedIn following, this could help.

Be sure to have a call-to-action at the end of each post (what your readers should do next).

4. Email

This actually should be #1 but for emphasis, I saved it for last.

Email is by far the best space to leverage. You can speak directly to those who have taken an interest in your business. No frills, no fanciness and no hashtag lurkers in your convo.

  • Reach out to people/businesses you'd love to work with...
  • Extend your services to previous clients & see how you can help...
  • Keep your email list in the loop of what you're working on...

Most often, it only takes one well-crafted email to make an impact.
